Healthy Starts, Healthy Hearts

About the Program

Healthy Starts, Healthy Hearts explores the vital connection between maternal health, prenatal care, and early childhood well-being. This initiative underscores the importance of routine pediatric well-checks in building the foundation for lifelong health.

Expectant parents, families, and healthcare professionals will come together to discuss how health decisions made during pregnancy and in the early years of a child’s life profoundly influence long-term outcomes. Through shared experiences and expert insights, this event will highlights the critical role that both maternal and pediatric care play in shaping a child’s physical development, mental health, and overall well-being.

Program Objectives

Promote Healthy Pregnancy Practices: Provide education on the importance of prenatal care in supporting a healthy pregnancy, minimizing complications, and giving babies the best possible start in life.

Emphasize the Value of Well-Child Visits: Inform parents about the role of regular pediatric checkups in tracking developmental milestones, monitoring overall health, and identifying potential concerns early.

Highlight the Importance of Early Prevention: Discuss how early screenings—both during pregnancy and throughout infancy—can detect health conditions, particularly heart-related issues, leading to timely intervention and improved outcomes.

Empower Families with Practical Knowledge: Offer actionable guidance on incorporating healthy habits from pregnancy through early childhood, including nutrition, physical activity, and strategies to support heart health for both mother and child.
