Behavioral Health Care for All

Through this collaboration, Outreach Community Health Centers will significantly increase access to counseling services for individuals and families living in Milwaukee’s 53222 ZIP code and surrounding communities by supporting services at Wellpoint’s primary location at 8901 W. Capitol Drive as well as at more than thirty school-based and Boys & Girls Club sites throughout the Milwaukee area. Outreach Community Health Centers serves more than 25,000 patients annually, many of whom face barriers to accessing behavioral health services.

This partnership strengthens the continuum of care available to patients by integrating counseling services with OCHC’s comprehensive health center services. Patients receiving counseling from Wellpoint clinicians will have streamlined access to OCHC’s full range of services, including primary medical care, behavioral health and psychiatry, and dental services. The collaboration will establish coordinated referral pathways between the organizations to ensure patients receive timely behavioral health and primary care services.”

As a federally funded Community Health Center, OCHC is committed to ensuring that cost is never a barrier to care. No patient is turned away due to inability to pay, and individuals and families with incomes at or below 200% of the Federal Poverty Level are eligible for care through OCHC’s sliding fee discount program.

Together, OCHC and Wellpoint Care Network are expanding access to coordinated, community-based care that addresses both physical and behavioral health needs for Milwaukee residents.
